Elder Care Services is excited to announce the grand opening of Cozy Corner, a new community space dedicated to providing seniors with a welcoming environment to relax, visit, and build meaningful connections. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on November 20, 2024, at 12:00 PM, followed by the Grand Opening celebration on December 3, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 1701 E Lincoln Hwy, DeKalb, IL.

Cozy Corner is designed to be a safe, comfortable place where seniors can enjoy social interactions, connect with others, and learn about valuable programs and services available to them. Staff members will be on hand to share information about the services provided by Elder Care Services (ECS), including caregiving support, wellness initiatives, and community resources that promote independence and well-being for older adults.

“We believe in the power of community, and Cozy Corner is a space where seniors can feel a sense of belonging, while also having access to resources that can enhance their quality of life,” said Tara Russo, M.S., Executive Director at ECS. “This is more than just a place to meet—it’s an opportunity to learn, share, and strengthen the social fabric of our community.”

The Grand Opening celebration on December 3rd will feature refreshments, tours of the new facility, and an opportunity to meet the Cozy Corner team. The event will also highlight the variety of ECS programs aimed at supporting seniors, including educational sessions and support groups. Whether you’re looking for a place to relax or are interested in learning more about community services, all are welcome to come and explore Cozy Corner.

We invite all members of the community—families, caregivers, and neighbors—to attend the ribbon-cutting and grand opening to help support this new resource for DeKalb’s senior population.
