Spring is finally hear! Temperatures are going to start warming up and if you are thinking about taking a “summer Friday” off to go to the beach, take a hike, or just hit the couch to catchup on some reading you might want to rethink taking Friday off and opting for Wednesday instead.

That’s because Professor Bawana Ballard who focuses on time and communication at University of Texas at Austin found that the best day of the week to take off is Wednesday. The reason behind taking Wednesday off is because we all get into a routine of five days of work, then two-day weekend and back. If you were to take a Wednesday off, you then go two days of work, day off, two days of work and two days off. By doing so it breaks up your routines resulting in feeling less stressed and overwhelmed at work because you are no longer staring down another five day week.
