Congratulations to the Building Leaders Advocating for Change Inc. (B.L.A.C. Inc.) for receiving a first time grant for youth empowerment and development!

A grant was recently awarded in the amount of $6,800 from the DeKalb County Community Foundation. The grant will help provide mental health, leadership development and community service resources for youth in DeKalb and surrounding areas.

B.L.A.C., Inc. is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering at-risk youth in DeKalb. They have many regular events, field trips, seminars and more. This organization stresses the importance of academics, social skills, mental health/self-care, teamwork, and community service. They also offer tutoring to TeenTalks.
