The DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association (DAAHA) invites interested parties to attend the dedication of a historical marker. The marker commemorates the yield monitor that was developed by Steve Faivre, Dave Larson, and Jim Bassett in the early ‘90s. Yield monitors are now standard equipment in combines and give growers a “report card” of their within field management decisions.
The marker will be unveiled at the Faivre farm in a ceremony that starts at 2 p.m. on the 10th of September. The address is 7102 Fairview Road, DeKalb. The brief program will include two of the original innovators as well as veteran farm broadcaster Max Armstrong.
Immediately following the dedication, DAAHA invites you to attend their Annual Meeting which will be held at Whiskey Acres Distilling Company at 11504 Keslinger Road, DeKalb. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the meeting.
DAAHA looks forward to attendees witnessing this tribute to agriculture and innovation in DeKalb County.
