If you were feeling like we didn’t have enough pasta shapes to keep you amused, well Dan Pashman of the food podcast The Sporkful is here to serve some pasta excitement in your life!

He felt that spaghetti was too boring…and that it wasn’t all that great at even holding on to sauce so he designed a new pasta called cascatelli – which is Italian for “little waterfalls.” Cascatelli is short, with a flat strip and ruffles that stick out at a 90-degree angle. He says that right-angle is the key to making this shape different from most other pastas and what helps to make for the perfect bite.

He’s working to make Cascatelli available in stores sometime soon. In the meantime, you can order it online HERE.
