The nominations for the 63rd annual Grammy Awards have been announced! Beyoncé leads with nine nominations, extending her record for the most-nominated female artist in history with 79. Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Roddy Rich follow with six nominations each.

Here are some take-aways from this year’s nominations:

  • The Weeknd received ZERO nominations?! Despite the massive chart success of ‘Blinding Lights,’ his ‘After Hours’ album was completed snubbed by the Recording Academy! And he’s made his feelings about it very known. He tweeted yesterday, “The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency…”
  • Lady Gaga was also snubbed from the big three awards of the night: Album, Record, and Song of the Year. She did receive nominations for Best Pop Vocal album and Best Pop Duo/Group performance for ‘Rain On Me’ with Ariana Grande.
  • Harry Styles and BTS received their first Grammy nominations! Harry is up for 3 awards (Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Watermelon Sugar’ and Best Music Video for ‘Adore You’) while BTS’s received a solo nomination for ‘Dynamite’ in the Best Pop Solo Performance category.

“The Daily Show’s” Trevor Noah will host the event which is scheduled to air January 31st on CBS. The plan is to have the artists present along with a small audience.
